Daniel Pipes is one of the world’s foremost analysts on the Middle East and Islam whose influence on the public debate is widely acknowledged. He is director of the Middle East Forum, a nonprofit organization he founded in 1994.
A graduate of Harvard University, with a BA and PhD in history, he has been recognized as one of Harvard’s 100 most influential living graduates. He taught at Harvard, Princeton, Chicago, the U.S. Naval War College, and Pepperdine.
He has held two presidential positions in the U.S. government, testified before many congressional committees, and worked for five presidential campaigns.
He is a prize-winning columnist, formerly for the New York Times Syndicate, now writing independently for many newspapers, and is the author of 12 books. His works have been translated into 33 languages.
